When I talked to the Matron, she said that when I was there, I asked her to write a letter confirming that Dad was in the nursing home. Apparently I gave her an envelope to put the letter in, and I asked her to post it.
I have no recollection of this. I don't know where the letter was supposed to go, or why.
Do you?

So, as part of keeping track of Dad's finances, there were a couple of things I got done today.
I filled in the claim form for Attendance Allowance as much as I could, and posted it to Mrs. Molloy to fill in the rest. I asked her to send me the bills for the nursing home, and I'll see about paying them. More about Mrs. Molloy in my next post.
I phoned up the Inland Revenue and gave them his new address. I did the same for DWP which is where his state pension is sorted out. I couldn't do the same for his private pension (Norwich Onion) because I don't have the account number. If you come across it do please let me know.
Meanwhile, in looking at the DWP paperwork, it seems as if Dad is already getting Attendance Allowance!! But he's getting the lower rate; Mrs. Molloy thinks he will qualify for the higher rate.
Please send me any letters for Dad that might be bills or having to do with taxes or pensions, and I'll take care of them.
